No — and it would cost you a lot more. The aluminum-vs-steel question is the most commonly misunderstood in this industry. There are aluminum alloys that are pound-for-pound stronger than some steels, but strength isn't the right metric for a truck deck. Stiffness is.
Stiffness is measured by Modulus of Elasticity. Aluminum's modulus is about 10 million psi. Steel's is about 30 million psi — three times higher. That means an aluminum 2-inch square tube would need to be three times thicker to match the bending performance of a steel tube. Since aluminum is roughly one-third the density of steel, the thicker aluminum tube ends up weighing the same as the steel one — for the same stiffness.
Same weight. Same stiffness. Much higher cost. And aluminum fatigue-cracks under repeated load cycles. Steel doesn't.
This isn't ideology — it's just the math. We've welded carbon steel for twenty-five years because the numbers haven't changed.
Carbon steel tube and plate, sourced from American mills. Every deck gets a two-stage finish: a zinc primer base coat (the same stuff used on long-haul trailers) followed by a textured Black Hammer powder coat. The result is a finish that holds up through 20+ Idaho winters and looks meaner with every season.
430 lbs including the ramp. That's over 100 lbs lighter than any reputable aluminum sled deck currently on the market — for the same stiffness and dramatically better fatigue life.

FIT & INSTALL
All ToyUp decks secure to the bed of the pickup with 1/2″ steel turnbuckles to the factory bed hooks at all four corners. The frame is designed to distribute load evenly across the bed — so there are no high-stress points at any given spot. That means no bed damage, unlike decks that use a four-leg design.
Larger UTV decks also use a Torklift-style mount at the front of the deck for additional anchoring. Installation or removal takes under five minutes.
Sled decks fit 5′5″–6′7″ short box pickups, 8′ long box pickups, and half-ton trucks. UTV decks ship in four configurations: short bed (5′5″ & 6′5″), universal (6′5″ & 8′), long bed (8′), and flat deck. ATV decks come in short bed (7′) and long bed (8′). We've spec'd decks for Ford, Ram, Chevy, GMC, Toyota and Nissan full-size pickups — call us with your year, make, model and bed length.
Sled decks carry one or two snowmobiles — Ski-Doo, Polaris, Arctic Cat, Yamaha. UTV decks fit anything up to 82″ wide and 140″ wheelbase with the Max package — including Polaris RZR Pro R, Can-Am Maverick X3 MAX, Honda Talon, Yamaha YXZ and Kawasaki KRX. ATV decks fit standard-width four-wheelers from Polaris, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Can-Am and others.

The side panel option fully sheets the sides of your UTV deck and includes a custom wrap in your choice of design, colors and logos. It turns the deck into rolling brand real estate for businesses, race teams or anyone who wants their rig to look custom. Stock decks ship without side panels — clean, industrial, business-end.
We offer a winch mount option, but we recommend you only winch in case of a catastrophic failure. By winching, you literally double the number of times you have to get on and off the deck — which overcomplicates a very simple loading procedure. We have customers in their 70s who load their cabover decks with no winch at all and absolutely love them.
Yes. Our custom welded storage stand is available for sled and UTV decks. Off-season, drop the deck on the stand. Stays out of the way, off the floor, ready for the next season.
The Max option adds 15″ of wheelbase and 8″ of additional width. It's the single upgrade that takes a stock cabover from "fits most UTVs" to "fits anything you can buy." Required for the widest, longest UTVs like a 64″ RZR Pro R or a Maverick X3 MAX.
